Raytheon unveiled today at the Paris Airshow a new version of its SL-AMRAAM air defense system, mounting four AMRAAM medium range missiles and two Sidewinder AIM-9X short range heat seeking missiles. Another enhancement to the system includes the use of Extended Range AMRAAM (SL-AMRAAM-ER), offering improved protection to deployed forces. the company did not provide details about the envelope of the new missiles.
